The biggest trends for the summer of 2016 and the announced Pantone colour of the year. Throughout the summer months we are definitely going to be seeing an extension of a lot of the trends that were prominent in the second half of 2015 flow through into the new year. That means, a huge focus on mixed metals, mixed furniture, indoor plants and natural textures. We will especially be seeing lots of copper and light bright colours which are here to stay.
What I like about the trends currently is that they are very accessible, budget friendly and they go with a lot of different colour schemes, so it is not difficult to update your current look.
The products are user friendly and cost effective solutions which are fantastic to buy to give your space or your home an instant make over.
Pantone announced the colour of the year for 2016 at the end of 2015 which is perfect timing. The combination is all about developing a sense of serenity and peace within the home. The colours are soft and for the first time ever there are two colours that are great in creating a complete look as well as working with an existing neutral palette.
Add in some great greenery and textures, such as throws plus some timber and you have a winning combination.
How do you plan on adopting these trends in your home?
